2-1 Discussion: When an Old Word Just Won't Do

Choose one of the ways we form new words. This could be through combining (compounding, prefixing, suffixing, infixing), shortening (alphabetism, acronymy, clipping, backformation), blending, functional shifting, reanalysis, or reduplication. Once you have chosen your process of word formation, write up a short description and provide an example. This will help prepare you for the presentation due this week.
