Discussion Board #2:

One thing that we all have in common is that we are part of a higher education institution. This sets the scene for our discussion board topic for this week. A report was released last month from Gallup that asked Americans what they thought about the affordability of higher education:

I want you to consider the following:

1. How do you feel about the following question? “Do you think education beyond high school is affordable for anyone in this country who needs it?”
2. Public opinion polls can be marred with issues that make the results (the problems in polling section discusses some of these). What changes would you make to this poll to get more/better information from the respondents?
3. What question would you pose to the class regarding this week's topic?
