Organized labor in the United States has steadily declined in membership over the last several decades, though many sectors have seen an increase in labor union members such as education and the service industry.

In this discussion, create a timeline of four to five major events which impacted labor. Try to provide events your classmates have not used. Next, explain the current labor perspective and predict what role labor will play in the future, including in the global business market.
