DISCUSSION

Each student is required to make at least 4 posts for each discussion. An initial discussion post in response to the discussion question prompt must be made by the Thursday in the second week of each module (March 28). The remaining three discussion posts should be in response to other students’ initial discussion posts. Those responses should be substantive and provide additional analysis and/or raise additional questions. Each initial post should be between 100-150 words. Responsive posts should be between 50-100 words.

Discussion Question/Topic:

You are a sport event manager in the UAA (UF Athletic Association). A very critical issue in facility and event management is sustainability (e.g., reduce waste, energy, water use pollution, traffic (vehicles), recycling etc.). It has been requested to you by the Athletic Director to promote environmentally friendly (Green) practices during the UF sport events. Your goal is to influence the fans to be engaged as much as possible in the environmentally friendly practices that you will promote. Please describe how you will promote these practices. Include at least three ways the facility can promote sustainability.
