discussion
This week's class talks about credibility with its three primary dimensions: expertise, trustworthiness, and goodwill. However, when we consider whether a person is credible or not in real life, we would draw on way more clues, for example, physical attractiveness. There are chances we see "what is beautiful is good." Advertising also features attractive spokespersons and models. Have you ever considered a good-looking person as more credible than others? Do you believe that standards for physical attractiveness are universal or vary with culture? What is the implication for persuasion?
