Effects of Social Media. Listen to the NPR 1A Podcast "The Smartphone Generation: Less Sex, Fewer Drinks, More Depression." http://the1a.org/shows/2017-08-31/has-the-smartphone-destroyed-a-generation Note: Be sure to listen to the entire podcast - it contains quite a bit of information about i-gen (the Internet generation, or those born around 1995 and later), and it is, in my opinion, really interesting. Once you've listened, post your answer to these questions:

Q: What are your opinions on the effects of social media on the socialization of the self? How do you think exposure to social media has affected the development of your own social identity and/or those around you? What do you think of the findings of the study as discussed in the podcast? Do they apply to you? Why, or why not?
