1.If everyone (that can) takes Singer's pledge and decides to donate to the unfortunate in the third world, will that discourage the recipients from solving their own problems? And if yes, is there any possible solution for this? If no, how can corruption be avoided?

2. Singer makes a big deal about disposable goods we consumer in the U.S. like disposable water bottles (pictured left). Can you think of any way that a reduction in this consumption could affect American citizens (or citizens in any nation which consumes many disposable goods)?
