Most matters relating to intellectual property rights are regulated internationally by multilateral treaties. Most of these treaties are administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Council for Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.

1. Describe the primary intellectual property treaties.
2. What are licensing regulations, and how do they restrict trade?
