M4: Discussion

Please note, you will need to review the required reading in your text and the lecture to complete the Discussion Board assignment. You MUST cite (in APA format) at least three (3) different sources of information from your text, assigned readings, assigned audio-visual pieces, or the lecture to receive full credit. Posts should be at least 3 complete paragraphs.   

1 Read scenarios 1a-1d in your textbook on page 58.

1 Select two of the scenarios and discuss whether you would call the Child Protective Services in each scenario based on the information you have. Why or why not?  If you are unsure, what additional information would you need to help you make your decision.

2 How do you think you would feel if you had to make a report of suspected child maltreatment?  How might a colleague or other professional help you cope with any negative feelings?
