This semester you have created your own budget, critiqued your classmates, and reflected on the budget challenges in the field of higher education. Read the article in the Reading and Resources section titled, “State Education Funding Cuts Have Pushed Costs to Students, Worsened Inequality,” and reflect on the following:

1. Using the article, research the state that you wish to work in.
2. Discuss what has happened to funding in that state, based on the article.
3. Using the article, analyze the impact of decreased funding for Black and Hispanic/Latino students.
4. Describe the future impact of decreased access for Black and Hispanic/Latino students.
5. Propose a possible budgetary strategy to increase college affordability and access.
