discussion 1
The way the great awakening challenged the established churches was it took power from the church and made it more about the person who is worshiping. This means that the church used to tell the people when and how to worship and with the great awakening it said that person be able to worship according to how they have experienced religion. The role it played was that it opened more freedom for other religions and many it easier to switch from religion to religion. This means that it made it easy for someone who wanted to move on to another religion and not feel bad about moving on. The challenging leads to colonists knowing that with religious power and it also helps political power as well. It means that if you have the religious power you also have some political power too. Mean you can control some laws. ( please explain in your own words 50 words)
