 Your initial post includes two sections, an introduction and a discussion regarding legal issues within higher education.

Provide a brief introduction of yourself and explain your experience with higher education laws specific to student affairs. Be sure to explain the purpose of the law and institutional ramifications for noncompliance.

According to Kaplin and Lee (2009), postsecondary institutions have become breeding grounds for litigation, particularly related to the practice of student affairs. Based on your experience and what you learned during this module, explain your perception of why legal issues have increased among postsecondary institutions. Identify two legal issues in student affairs and assess whether these issues signify a lack of responsibility and/or regulatory defiance by the institutions.
