I'd like to start our learning experience with an informal discussion. This should give us all a chance to get comfortable with online discussion.

First, please tell me a little bit about yourself. This activity will help us get to know each other and help us to begin to build a sense of class community, so please feel free to personalize your introduction and add a link to your favorite web site, or attach a digital image of yourself.

Then, identify a simple problem and how you went about solving it,  or have you read or seen something interesting that relates to the topics we'll be studying, or how do you think you will apply the skills and knowledge acquired from this course?
