Organized sports have wonderful benefits for children, but there can also be drawbacks to participation. Children are also participating in organized sports programs at younger and younger ages; some parents are enrolling their children in organized sports activities as early as three years old. Do you have experiences with organized sports, either you own, your child's, or that of someone you know, that you can share? What do parents need to know about organized sports participation, especially for very young children? (Hint: if you would like some ideas, read the attached position statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics).
Please add a relevant faith integration component, quotes, and/or other outside research for full credit. Then respond to the postings of at least two other classmates.
