The history of corrections in the United States is marked by different systems of correctional management. Two of the more famous systems used were the Auburn Correctional System and the Pennsylvania Correctional System. In your discussion this week, be sure to address the following in regards to the Auburn and Pennsylvania Correctional Systems:

• How would you explain the similarities and differences between these two Correctional systems?
• Which system do you think was more effective at reforming inmates’ behavior? Explain why.
