A urinalysis is an important test performed to diagnose a health condition, monitor a health condition, or for routine medical care. There are other urine tests besides a urinalysis that monitor or diagnose different health conditions.

• Research different diagnostic tests used to examine the function of the renal system. Pick one of the diagnostic tests done on the urinary system as the focus of this discussion. Try to pick a test that is unique from your peers.
• Describe the test or procedure. Discuss how the test is performed and what the test is looking at or for. Give an example of pathology that this test is useful for diagnosing or monitoring.
• Explain the relevant anatomy and physiology that the test is evaluating. Be specific.
