Is it art or technology? Ethics or aesthetics? Interpretation or lying? Image enhancement or cheating? When is image manipulation appropriate? What is the limit? Who gets to decide? What about using filters to post photos on social media like Instagram? What about removing red eyes from photos? How about manipulating images for marketing purposes? Political purposes? Or pure ideological propaganda? Does your view change if the manipulation is done by an individual vs. a company such as a magazine publication or a political organization? 

1. For your posting (14pts):  A). Choose an image from this link http://www.famouspictures.org/altered-images/ Links to an external site.If you click on the image, it will take you to a page with more information and a breakdown of the actual photos (if they have them)
   B). Copy and embed Download embed/paste the image on your post (easier to know what you are talking about if your classmates can see the picture right there.)
   
   C). Discuss your thoughts on the editor/photographer’s use of image manipulation. Take a stance. Back up your viewpoint. If you don’t know what to write, use my questions in the 1stparagraph of this page (above) as a guide.
   
   D). Reference articles from the links provided in number 1 above or from an article you found on your own. You may also reference your text (remember to cite page number).
