tep 1:  Choose a dietary supplement, such as a vitamin, herbal, or amino acid product. 

Using reliable websites, such as https://nccih.nih.gov/health/supplements or the LIRN Library to learn about the scientific evidence surrounding your supplement's health-related claims. 

Write a one to two page report about your chosen supplement and include the following in your submission:

• Explain whether or not you feel that the research surrounding your supplement supports the health-related claims.
• Discuss whether or not taking the supplement can have negative side effects. 
• Include whether or not taking the supplement can cause interferences with other medicines.
• Explain whether or not you feel that the research surrounding your supplement supports the health-related claims.
• Include the recommended dosages for your supplement.

Assignment Expectations for Grading:  

1. Demonstration of critical thinking, scholarship, and ability to connect and apply the material 

2. Comprehensiveness and completeness of your responses 

3. Adherence to the written instructions 

4. Spelling and grammar

5. Provide 3-5 APA Style References to support your paper.
