Read "Discrimination in temp hiring", consider how the stories relate to identity, diversity, and organizational communication in Allen's book "Difference Matters”. Also, think about how you personally feel about the content of the articles—which elements you agree or disagree with, whether or not you can personally relate to the topic, whether or not you think the people quoted in the articles are making arguments that are well constructed, etc.

-- CONTENT: This first post should relate the reading’s content to identity, diversity, and communication in organizations, and it should also include your personal reaction to what you read. 

-- Note that what you say should make clear that you actually read the reading. Simply stating that it was interesting or that you learned a lot does not accomplish this. 

-- Please do not summarize the content of the reading in your post. This simply adds to the word count without saying anything new. Listing the things you learned or found interesting also amounts to a summary. If you learned something, tell us how you thought about it before you read the reading, compared to how you think differently about it now. 

-- If the reading relates to something you have personally experienced, feel free to tell the story, as this would be particularly interesting and helpful to your group members. 

-- Here are some suggestions for the types of comments you might make. You do not need to include all of these types, but the most insightful posts will receive the most points:
