Middle childhood (ages 6–12) is a period of major growth in thinking, problem-solving, and academic skills.

In your post, briefly discuss:

1. One cognitive change or milestone in middle childhood (ex: concrete operational thinking, improved memory, better attention, logical reasoning).

2. One developmental theory or concept that helps explain this change (ex: Piaget’s concrete operational stage, information-processing theory, metacognition).

3. One factor that influences cognitive development (ex: school environment, parenting, peer interactions, socioeconomic status, nutrition, technology).

4. Explain  why this factor is important for learning and development.
