Week 4 Assignment
For this assignment you will use the Week_04_Assignment_Data.csv file, which can be found on the Week 4 Assignment page in Canvas. This is a hypothetical dataset. Assume that these data were collected from a simple random sample of Capella University learners enrolled in an undergraduate-level psychology program.
The dataset includes the following variables:
· ID : A unique nominal-level identification number assigned to each participant
· Age : Age in years
· Gender_Identity : Gender identity selected by the student
· IPEDS_Race_Ethnicity : Race and ethnicity as defined by the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
Criteria:
· Construct a graph in JASP
· Compute descriptive statistics in JASP
· Construct a confidence interval using JASP
· Identify the population to which the confidence interval can reasonably generalized
· Report descriptive statistics and a confidence interval in APA style
|
Use JASP to construct a histogram of the Age variable. |
|
[Include a screenshot of your histogram here] |
|
Use JASP to obtain a table containing the following values for the Age variable: sample size, mean, standard deviation, and 95% confidence interval |
|
[Include a screenshot of your output table here] |
|
Describe the population to which this confidence interval can be generalized. |
|
|
|
Compose a formal paragraph in APA style summarizing your analyses. This should include the sample size, mean, standard deviation, and the 95% confidence interval along with its interpretation. |
