This assignment builds upon the work that you did for Assignment #1, Description.
In a thoughtful and grammatically correct paper of about 750 words, tell a story about an important moment, event, experience. Be as specific and as detailed as possible. As you can see from the title, this paper is a narrative – a story – and a meaningful narrative is more than a list of things that have happened; a meaningful narrative makes a point. It has a purpose. It can serve to communicate some insight into our experiences, our feelings, and our values.
The following questions may serve as a guide as you begin writing your paper. Why are you here? What have you gained so far from this experience? What are you sacrificing for this education? What has been different than you expected? How have things you have learned outside of the classroom reinforced or contradicted what you have learned in the classroom?
In addition, you will need to decide who would benefit from reading your narrative. Who is your audience, and what do you want that person or group of people to understand?
Remember that our emphasis for this paper is on introductions, organization, and conclusions. Edit for errors in spelling and grammar, especially those connected to the grammar chapters you have been reading. Don't forget to include your name and a title.
