Current Event

1. Select a Recent Event: ○ Choose a current event (within the last 12 months) that relates to

strategic management. This could be a major corporate decision, a significant shift in market dynamics, a merger or acquisition, a strategic partnership, etc.

2. Research the Event: ○ Gather information from reliable sources such as news articles,

company press releases, industry reports, and academic journals. 3. Prepare a Presentation:

○ Create a brief presentation (5 minutes maximum) along with PDF/PowerPoint slides

○ Focus on key points and ensure clarity in delivery. ○ Structure:

■ Event Description: Describe the event in detail. ■ Connection to Course Concepts: Explain how the

event relates to the chapter(s). Use specific theories, models, or concepts from the textbook. (Choose from chapter 1 to 11)

■ Analysis: Analyze the implications of the event on the company and/or industry. Discuss potential short-term and long-term impacts.

■ Discussion Question: Formulate one discussion question related to your analysis for the class to consider.

■ References (Include them on the last page of the slides): Include citations for all sources used.
