Cultural Diversity

Review the reasons for segregating Mexican-origin children, but also take time to review the arguments againt it. Take note of the names, George I. Sanchez and Arthur Campa.

-  In the Yosso and solorzano article, review the conditions that drive many of our students off the educational pipeline, like Unequal K-12 Conditions and Failure of the Community College Transfer Function. Add to that, their mention of how Mexican-origin students persist in getting through the system.

-  On page 78, second pargraph, review the pedagogy of Critical Bilingual-Bicultural educators. Then, on the third paragraph, review how author Lourdes Diaz-Soto, implements that pedagogy.
