Cultural Competency Skills

In our readings this week, Chapter 2 introduces several “models” of cultural competence (ex: the six-level continuum model for culturally competent care systems described by Cross et al., the model by Arrendondo et al., outlining characteristics of culturally skilled practitioners, APA’s cultural code of ethics, etc.) Choose one model/framework and assess where you may fall in terms of cultural competency. Then outline some ways you might expand your opportunities for cultural learning.
