Problem Analysis Triangle

 The Department of   Justice published the pamphlet, Crime Analysis for Problem Solvers in 60 Small Steps. Step 8 addresses   the Problem Analysis Triangle. What are the components of the problem   analysis triangle, and why is it so effective in analyzing crimes and   criminal issues? How does it help us understand and develop crime prevention   strategies? How does it help public officials to present crime prevention   strategies to the public?

When trying   to determine the best response to crime, does it help to look at the triangle   from different perspectives before, during, and after crimes? What   considering crime from the perspective of the victim or perpetrator?
