Breanna:
Hospital ethics committees are necessary because if allowed they can help make tough decisions. For example, if a patient and their health care professional can’t come to an agreement about a certain decision the hospital ethics committees will be consulted. Certain members of the hospital ethics committee will then thoroughly evaluate the case and then present it to the entire committee. The committee as a whole will then decide what they think is best for the patient and recommend a solution to the situation. Hopefully, the patient will then agree to the recommendation.
