Research Paper Final Exam 

Description: 

Each learner will prepare  a 7 page (excluding cover page, reference page, and/or any pictures or diagrams) on a CISR issue of their choice (national, regional, SLTT, sector, or international focus). You are free to choose a topic to discuss strategies or policies or techniques to deal with a CISR issue.

I suggest that you pick one which was  difficult to resolve or even was not resolved. The reason of choosing such topics is to give you the opportunity to express your views.

Examples of Topic:

Example research paper topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

· How to promote the adoption and implementation of effective CISR strategies and best practices within a voluntary partnership paradigm.

· How to best enable the achievement of one or more of the Joint National Priorities or Call to Action items identified in the NIPP.

· How to better foster public-private partnerships and critical infrastructure information sharing among the NIPP partners, both sectorally and regionally.

· How to measure the performance of CISR activities within and across sectors and jurisdictions.

· How to promote effective critical infrastructure risk mapping as part of the National Preparedness System.

· How to best integrate CISR-related priorities.

·

You may discuss the above in any of the following specific security issues. You may choose a new one:

·       Banking Infrastructure Security.

·       Border and Port Security.

·       Computer Viruses.

·       Data Breaching by cyber hacking.

·       Continuity of Government.

·       Cyber Insurance.

·       Cyber Warfare.

·       Cybercrime

·       Pandemic and Bioterrorism 

·       Infrastructure Protection in any other countries (e.g., Afghanistan, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, etc.)

Guidelines:

The paper should be completed using the following organizational format:

(This is a required component for APA Format). Provide headings and subheadings for each segment. (Please note no strategy/technique/way is 100% foolproof).

 

1. You will be graded by these segments, separated by headings/subheadings and paragraphs. I will not find them if embedded or hidden in other segments. This is important. If I do not see a segment with the heading, you will receive a zero in that segment.
