Many variations of quantitative research designs exist, and new ones continue to be advanced and refined. However, there is a basic set of designs used in most quantitative research. In our textbook, Understanding Research, we focused on five common quantitative designs, as shown in Figure 6.2.

Carefully study the five common quantitative research designs in Figure 6.2. Then, select 10 peer-reviewed or scholarly articles from the CSU-Global library related to your final project topic or research question. Describe the research design used in each article. Include your assessment of how each research design could be used to create the design for your final Portfolio Project.

When writing your assessment, be sure to follow these guidelines:

• Your paper should be 4 to 6 pages in length, organized, and well-written in conformity with the APA. 
• Support your answers using at least 10 peer-reviewed articles or scholarly journals, in addition to the course textbooks.
• Include a title page, section headers, an introduction, a conclusion, and a references page.
