Criminology Topic Paper

Over this quarter, we have covered numerous theories.  Your assignment is to pick ONE of those theories and discuss it fully.  As you discuss the theory, I want to you provide your personal perspective as well.  Be sure to consider how this theory applies (or does not apply) to everyday life. 

Here are the expectations for this paper:

• 6-8 pages (Does not include Title/Cover Page and Reference Page)
• Double-Spaced
• Standard College Formatting
• Minimum 4 References (CANNOT USE TEXTBOOK AS A REFERENCE)
• Exceptional writing skills (proper grammar, spelling, citing, etc.)

you would pick a theory, such as ONE of the Social Structure theories (Strain, Social Disorganization, etc.), and discuss that theory. What are the theories elements? How was the theory developed? Discuss any hypothesis related to that theory. Who supports the theory? What is the pros/cons to the theory? Be sure to give me your personal opinion as well, but support why you feel the way you do. Also, provide any real-life examples to support the theory.
