Technology, particularly cellular phone and smartphone technology, as radically changed the world in recent years.  Examine the following three U.S. Supreme Court cases:

• United States v. Jones (2012) (GPS tracking case)
• Riley v. California (2013) (Cell phone searches require a warrant)
• Carpenter v. United States (2018) (Cell phone tracking case)

Pick one of these cases to discuss.  Examine what happened in the case (the original arrest), how and why the Supreme Court ruled the way it did, and how the decision changed the law in a way that protected personal privacy in the digital age
