Criminal Professionalism

In this weeks assignment, I presented a real-life case I worked as an undercover detective. I worked undercover over a two-year period posing a a drug buyer, and on occasion, as a dealer. I made many cases and encountered many interesting situations, some very dangerous. To me, working in an undercover capacity was much like being an actor playing a part. 

For this discussion, discuss if you would ever be willing to work as an undercover detective, and why, or why not. What type of cases would you be willing to work? What are your thoughts about undercover operations in general? Do you think undercover officers should be allowed to lie and use trickery to be successful in making the case? Would you consider undercover operations as more exciting or dangerous to work as an undercover officer?
