This is always a fun class discussion. Again, you will each get a particular state as your assignment and you will discuss your state's particulars on the issue of the death penalty. This website is a great place to start in compiling facts for current statistics of death row offenders:

Be sure you discuss when the last execution was, if there is a governor's moratorium on execution, and what is the status of any pending executions. If your state does not have the death penalty, did it ever have the death penalty and when was it removed from the state's law.
