For the initial post compare the information on the eras of police as suggested by Kelling and Moore to the article, The Political Economy of Community Policing. The things I want you to consider:

1. The reasons we see a shift from one era to another. 
2. Do the authors have a perspective that leads them to the come to the conclusions they do?
3. Some suggest a Fourth Era of Policing. Can you identify this new era and how do you think Kelling and Moore and the Barlowes would approach this expansion of their doctrines?
