Crime in Media

 Explain the "otherness" factor in the way the media perceives women as criminals.  Take a look at a newspaper or televsion news report concerning women and crime. What kinds of stereotypes are evident in the report? Do you think women are given more attention even though their crimes may be less atrocious than those committed by males?
