 How would you explain the way that the media chooses a crime story and how to report it? Do you feel the media has a hidden agenda? Do you feel the media has had a positive impact on morality or social consciousness?  Do the prevailing theoretical perspectives sufficiently answer these questions?  What are some of the ways you would go about investigating these ideas?
