Creating a Letter of Intent

In Milestones One and Two, you conducted research on your social problem. The next step is to think about how to implement a solution. In your final submission for Final Project Part II in Module Seven, you will write a letter of inquiry/intent to various funders in order to secure funding for your solution (a letter of inquiry and a letter of intent have the same purpose).In order to prepare for Final Project Part II, investigate what a letter of inquiry to a funding source looks like and what information it should contain. After reviewing the module resources on letters of intent/inquiry, think about your own project and what kind of organization you would want to help solve your social problem. In this journal assignment, address the following: To what organization or funder would you like to write? Explain how this organization may help solve your specific social problem. What methodology â or solution are you proposing? What social theory (or theories) relate to your chosen social problem? Explain how this theoretical framework informs your proposed solution.
