Discuss the four levels of state courts, beginning at trial courts of limited jurisdiction through to the Supreme Court. Identify the reasons you think a case would make it to the Supreme Court and how often do you believe these reasons apply. Locate a case which has been through the appellate process and discuss how the case started in the lower court and resolved on appeal (e.g. Miranda v. Arizona).
