Course Research Paper and Project

Task 1: Course Research Paper should be prepared in an appropriate style and good form and be approximately 12-15 pages in length and include five to seven references. The course research paper should address a major contemporary issue for Auditing Financial Statements Prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles arising in public practice as a licensed certified public accountant and accounting and reporting for business or regulated entities. The topic of the Course Research Paper is the same as the topic in Task 2. 

Task 2: A project PowerPoint and its related word document. The topic for the project is for you to write a comment letter to the PCAOB addressing Docket 043: Proposed Auditing Standard for Auditing Accounting Estimates, Including Fair Value Measurements. It has become effective but you should pretend that it is not yet effective and prepare a comment letter. For the project, you should role play that you are CPAs explaining the new rule to a client. There are actual comment letters you can view on the PCAOB website.
