There is evidence that the move from rehabilitation to retribution through Just Desserts had a profound effect on American corrections in the 1980’s-2000’s.Read Chapter 4 in the text and conduct some basic research into the dramatic increase in the prison population during the 1980’s through the early 2000’s using the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons (Kean Library).
