Corporate Governance

Organizations must abide by the laws created by the governments of  their respective countries. Some of these laws affect the IS security  requirements or an organization, which may substantially affect the cost  incurred by the organization.

Looking at common structures for corporations worldwide, consider the following:

• Where does the responsibility of IS security  typically lie, and what are some of the ways corporate governance  affects this responsibility?
• Explain one or two ways that laws affecting an organization impact security documents.
• How does IS security affect other groups in the corporation? Explain your answer.
• Create an organizational chart of a typical  organization and identify how it would likely change if the organization  had their IS security compromised.
