Conflicting Predictions
Watch the three minute video Everyday Racism before answering the question. Abraham Lincoln seemed to argue in the 1856 Lincoln-Douglas Debate that the African-American community would never be accepted as equals in the United States. David Walker on the other hand, seemed to argue that Blacks were Americans who would be embraced over time for that contributions and treated as equals, eventually.
1.Who was ultimately right?
2.What evidence do you see currently that supports your argument for which man proved to be right?
