The first assignment is to write a paper about the generalized idea of a communication network.
 The railroad network, the telegraph network, the phone network, the electrical network, all have common features, e.g. nodes, maximum throughput between nodes, collection nodes, trunk lines, side lines, etc.
Research the concepts (features) that define to networks, and write a paper describing what makes a network.
