Computer Information Systems
Identity theft is a scary term. You have no doubt heard of someone who has had his or her name, address, Social Security number, bank account, or credit card information stolen. This can ruin a person’s credit and leave him or her holding the bag and harassed by creditors attempting to collect on the fraudulent debts. It sounds horrible, and it is.
Using the Internet, research identity theft and write about the following questions:
1. What is identity theft?
2. How can you prevent identity theft?
3. What steps should you take if your identity is stolen?
