COMPARE & CONTRAST

1. Students will read one professional journal article on any health topic.  Example:  JAMA, The New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Nursing etc...

2. Read one news article of mass publication.  Example:  The New York Times, USA Today etc...The topics do not have to be about the same topic!

3. Students will prepare a short outline of each article (one page is fine)  and then compare the different and similiar types of information presented in each type of article.  Example:  Which article gave sources of all of their conclusions?  Which article gave scientific back up for their thoughts? etc... 2-3 pages in length.
