Module 4: Assignment: Oral Communication - Making a Speech

This activity pretends to prepare a speech about a hypothetical situation, according to the studied content from point i, parts 5 and 6.

Instructions:

· You will prepare a speech about the following hypothetical situation:

You’re the CEO of a television station. A hurricane hit the region, and the television station was devastated, losing $5,000,000 in equipment and infrastructure. The television station had to close, so all its employees were dismissed.

But before dismissing them, you as a CEO made a speech in which you told everyone what happened and the future actions to be taken, but also gave them hope during the situation.

· On a Word document, write your speech. Make sure to use the elements of:

· Structure

· Key Points

· Feel free to add any special details about the situation that could be important for your speech.

· Record yourself doing the speech. When delivering it, be aware of the following:

· Organizing your mind

· Making Eye Contact

· Connecting with the Audience

· Remember that before recording your speech, you must practice several times.

· Your speech must have from  2:00 to 5:00 minutes.

· Your speech must be from your authorship.  Do not copy any content from the module or the Internet.
