Common Book Project--Born a Crime

For all Assessments, the following general requirements hold:

(1) Assignments should be 2-3 double-spaced pages, with reasonable (12 pt.) font and reasonable (1 inch) margins. 

(2) Citations to material are required; in-text citations are preferred (MLA style). 

Questions

1.  Read the book “Born a Crime by Trevor Noah”.  This is an easy to read, interesting book by Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central's Daily Show.  Noah has a real take to tell and he tells it well.  It is a frank and telling portrait of the life in South Africa in the 1980s and 1990s of a mixed-race children whose very birth was against the law! It is alarming, sad, and funny.

2. Write a two-page essay based on Trevor's comments on the apartheid system.
