Description:

For this assignment, you will give a speech about someone you know personally and admire. The three main points for the speech are the relationship you have with the person, some background on the person, and why you personally admire the person. One main objective here is to make specific and concrete descriptions of things. If you state that your Grandfather had a great sense of humor, give an example of it in the speech. If you had a close relationship with their sister, give specific examples to illustrate that closeness. Give specific descriptions of the person’s background. Did they come from a small or large town or family? Did they grow up poor or rich? What are some specific things they did or embody that you admire? By the end of your speech, your audience should feel like they know the person you are talking about.

Technical Requirements:

• 5-minutes in length
• You upload or email me your recording before midnight on the due date (if you emailed it to me, say so in this assignment's text entry)
• You are the only person in your video
• Your face must be in-frame for your entire speech
• You are professionally dressed (business casual is fine for this)
