Code of Ethics
Question 1. The IACP Code of Ethics is often held up to rookie officers and the public as the ideal way law enforcement officers should act and live their professional lives. Is the code truly realistic or is it one of those things that is nice in the abstract, but impossible to truly live out? What are your thoughts this? Can you live up to the Code of Ethics?
Question 2- If the IACP Code of Ethics is not realistic (and I don't think it is - I think it holds up a standard of behavior that is impossible to live up to every single minute of your professional life), then what would be a realistic code of ethics? What would be part of a code of ethics that you could truly live by?
