150 WORDS AGREE OR DISAGREE

There are many different factors that go into someone deciding to be a mass shooter and any type of mass shooting. Serial murderers and serial crimes have been around for a long time and has been investigated as far back as the Roman times.

With serial killings, there is more to it than someone that decided to shoot people, there are so many psychological issues behind it and has to do with the motive of the person and their odd fetishes. Many of these issues are fascinating to the criminal and they will learn all they need to in order to know how investigations go, how police works and even taking courses because they find their work of finding out what happened so interesting. Serial killers plan so much about their killings and have every second thought out and get excited about doing it again but better the next time.

Mass killings and shootings can be devided into different typologies. The first one being Deitz Typology; this is sexual sadist who kill for their sexual pleasure. Their motive is strickly to enact out an erotic thought they have with the intent to kill at the end. Crime spree killers who go on a rampage killing and usually will have other crimes connected to it. Organized crime like hit men who are getting paid to kill a certain someone for money and to rid of someone they don’t want. This gives them control and power and then in return they get away with a murder and make money from it. Custodial killers who are medical professionals that typically pray on the weak like the elderly people or people in the hospital that might not be at their best health. And psychotic killers, who are literally that, psychotic so they hear things, see things or feel thing where its essentially their reality and they feel that is what they are supposed to be doing.

Things like mass school shootings I feel have a lot to do with anger towards students and teachers and they feel that they have been wronged in some way. Sometimes these kids are playing out a scene of violence like they would if they were playing a violent video game. In a way, this would be a fantasy that they are playing out and could also be along the lines of psychotic. A lot of times, since the decision-making part of the brain isn’t developed in younger people they may not have the ability to differentiate real vs. fake and can develop distorted thoughts about what is really fair and just and what is violence and unfair and this would fall under a visionary serial killer  Another motive for these mass shooters is that they have a lot going on and it is a cry for help and they don’t know what else to do, so they kill. They feel that the world owes them something and there is no reason to keep people that are mean to them, so they fall under delusional killing.

There are many reasons (quite insanely) why people choose to kill and what lies behind their thought process.
